The Polar Express

This past weekend my family took a trip to the North Pole on the Polar Express (or a ride on the Heber Valley Railroad). Jeff's choir performed during the trip, and part of the proceeds from the ticket sales went to the choir. We had lots of fun all being together and starting the holiday season. During the train ride we had hot chocolate, cookies and good music. Olivia even preformed a solo (I will post that later. It is SOOO cute)! Santa came, met all the kids and of course gave bells to kids (If you have read Polar Express or at least seen the movie you know why).

We decided to take pictures for our Christmas cards while we there.... in total we have 242 pictures. Here are just a few... I swear Ivy and I did not coordinate our children's clothes. Red is the color of Christmas right? And great minds think a like.

The Haroldsen's on the trolley.

The Zawalski's after the train ride.

Heather and Honey enjoying the train ride.

Does Bradley really look 9?
Olivia is quite camera shy ;)

Bradley's Birthday.......Oh and Halloween

For Bradley's birthday he decided he wanted to have a Halloween costume party. We invited his whole class (yes I am crazy, and no I did not have my head check before we sent the invitations). Most of his class came and of course all of our family did too. Everyone dressed up (well except for Kim :) My biggest regret is that we did not take pictures.... ummm I was so preoccupied and trying to keep kids happy and having fun.

For the party we had a dance floor with Bradley's dance mix and Halloween songs. We also had reversed bobbing for apples (apples hung from a rope), a mad scientist table where the kids made there own GAK, (I am sure all the parent's loved having that go home with the kids). We also had a ton of "creepy"food and a make shift trick-or-treat candy give away.

Bradley was quite the talk of school the next week, but I don't think I have fully recovered.... And something like that (the whole class invite) will probably never happen again. Except when Olivia remembers this party and I have to invite her whole class (AGHH backfire).

So what was everyone??? Bradley was Mega Mind. Because we knew he was not going to be able to wear the mask to school, we came up with making a paper mache head. Bradley really played up the part of Mega Mind.

Mega Minds "evil" pose.
Olivia was Strawberry Shortcake.... and very adorable at that.

Not Pictured....
Richard was a gorilla...yep he had a full gorilla suit. The kids got quite a scare out of it, then they wanted Richard to chase them all over. I was in a poodle skirt (not too original). My mom was dressed up as an actual Grandma. We had a mummy, lots of vampires and dead zombies (brides, cheerleaders). Cute princesses and lots and lots of other costumes.

Kelsey was a cut little bumble bee and Ivy and Jeff were the bee keepers.....
(Everyone say AHHHH all together).

The party ended and Halloween started, and the costume mayhem started all over again, but hey my kids wore their costumes more this year then they ever have... There is one bonus :)

Alpine Slide

We took a ride up to Park City to have an adventure with the kids. We rode the alpine slide and the kids rock climbed. Plus we were saw the beautiful changing fall colors.

We took the ski lift to the top. Olivia was a little scared... hey so was I.

Bradley and I raced each other. Olivia and Richard rode together.

Both the kids are little monkeys. They did pretty good climbing, but both of them were more interested in going back to the slide that rock climbing really didn't seem that fun to them.

Soccer Mom???

Bradley has been wanting to play soccer again for over a year. So when we signed him up we decided to sign Olivia up too, even though Olivia wanted nothing to do with soccer. We thought it would be good for her to play on her first team. Olivia warmed up to the game fast and loves it.

They both ended up on blue teams. They are excited because it is like they are on the same team, (they play in different age groups though).

So am I going to be a Soccer Mom? Probably not for Bradley, but it is a definite possibility for Olivia. Bradley can hold his own, but all the running is not for him. Olivia however is really good and loves to run. I guess we will wait and see....

Game faces!
Bradley's team is the Blue Strikers
Bradley's favorite position is goalie.

Olivia's team name is The Blue Sharks

Olivia and Riley, they are new best friend. They are in school, soccer and day care together.

Olivia has made two goals!
