The Tooth Fairy's Revenge

For the past two days Bradley has been working on getting two more baby teeth out. I told him that if he gets one out and takes it to Honey's house I bet the Tooth Fairy would give him more money (she only gives him two dollars at our house). He said "Like FOUR DOLLARS! Maybe even five, OOH what about twenty!" I told him you never know we will have to wait and see.

So we were on our way to the sleep over, the tooth still intact. Bradley was working hard. Even Olivia was trying to pull her teeth out. We had to tell her she was too little to lose her teeth and she had to stop trying. That put her in tears.

We got to Honey's empty house and Bradley finally got the tooth out. When Honey got home Bradley was so excited to tell her that the Tooth Fairy was coming to her house tonight. Honey was not so excited.

After a long night of playing and trying to get Olivia to settle down. Honey's Tooth Fairy finally came after 1:00 a.m. Leaving five dollars and she even left a note. It read:

Dear Bradley,
Congratulations for losing another tooth. You are a brave and sweet boy. I left your tooth so you can take it home and put it under a pillow in your own bed and I will come again tomorrow night.
Love, Your Tooth Fairy

Bradley said that the Tooth Fairy probably wasn't allowed to take his tooth because it wasn't at his house. And Honey agreed. Not only did she visit Bradley, she also visited Olivia. Leaving her $1.00 and a note. It read:

Dear Olivia,
Here is a $1.00 for you being a good little sister and helping Bradley pull his tooth.
Love, Your Tooth Fairy

So the moral of the story is don't mess with the Tooth Fairy. She will get her Revenge.

Lemonade Anyone???

Today my little entrepreneur Bradley decided it was time that he started his own business. He wanted to go into the lemonade business. Richard told him it would be better if he put off his aspirations for another day since daddy was too busy to help him out.

Not wanting to have that hurdle stop him, Bradley went to work. First he headed to the kitchen and made "his lemonade." Starting with the remnants of a bottle of sprite. Knowing that wouldn't be enough to satisfy his customers' demand, he added water. Next came the flavoring. As lemonade was in short supply at our house he found a pack of Kool-Aid (of a unknown flavor) and mixed it all together.

Next came the sales. His first customer, Dad. His price, a reasonable $5.00 a cup. Richard was a little suspicious of the concoction, as he had no idea at this point what was in the bottle. So he asked for a free sample. This was so sour that Richard literally had to spit it out. Bradley thinks this is the best drink ever (as he loves sour anything).

Not giving into defeat, Bradley asked Richard to take over the stand and sale his product while he spent the night at Honey's (my mom's) house. Since dad informed Bradley that he doesn't work for free, Bradley has put off this business adventure for the time being.

Happy Anniversary!

So 4 more days until the 8 year mark! We are celebrating tonight with dinner at Market Street Grill. We haven't been there yet, but it is supposed to be real good. Freshest seafood in Utah! LeeAnn is watching the kids overnight for us, so we can have a night out. I have spent the last few days working in the yard getting things ready for a new fence. I am looking forward to a nice relaxing night out! Happy Anniversary Amanda, I love you!

Eight wonderful years

As our eighth wedding anniversary grows nearer I have come to realize a few things. Marriage is not easy. You do have to work at it, but when you both work at it together it is the most wonderful “paycheck” you will ever receive, a Partner for Life. I now know that I am not always right, (even though I am rarely wrong, ha-ha-ha) and compromise is always the best option. I have learned that as much I want Richard to be the loud and vociferous person, he will always be the strong silent type. I know that the seven year itch was just a myth for us.

Richard has always spoiled me rotten, which I love and will never complain about. However he has given me the two most wonderful gifts I could ever imagine, Bradley and Olivia.

We have been married for almost eight years, together for thirteen. And I can truly say that I love Richard more today than I did when I said “I do.”

Bradley's Test

Today Bradley had his end of year Kindergarten test. Although Mrs. Rowberry could tell us his score until the next parent teacher's conference, she said he did very well and that Bradley is a very dependable kid. She can always count on him being where he is suppose to be and doing what he is suppose to be doing.

Bradley is this way at home as well. He is almost always willing to help Richard or myself out. He loves to help cook, and he will help clean up. He is definitely mommy's little helper. He is great with his sister as well. He always helps her get drinks and snacks (even when it is not snack time.) My favorite thing that Bradley does to help Olivia out is when he is her step stool. He will get down on his hands and knees and let Olivia stand on his back when she needs to reach something like washing her hand. And yes we have a step stool but I guess big brother is better!

Niko

Niko was our 8 year old German Shepard. She was a very lovable and loyal dog. Richard got her for my birthday before we got married. She was such an easy going dog. On May 9th 2009 she was injured and had too many other problems to make a full recovery. So we did the most humane and hardest thing we have had to do. She will be greatly missed by our family. She was a wonderful pet!

The Before Shot

Bradley and Olivia on our slide before I demolished the playset. We are now making room for a trampoline. I am also tearing down a fence and having a new one installed. Then starting a garden for the first time. I have a lot of projects on my plate, and a lot of projects I have just finished. The After shot will be in a few weeks.

Richard

New to Blogging....

So I decided to give blogging a whirl. If for nothing else to keep some type of journal for me to jot down things we are doing since I have not been doing well with this task on paper. Also Facebook has been somewhat of a tracker for me for a few months, but it is too hard to keep post where you want them. So bare with me, and Richard as we try to figure this new blogging thing out!!
